Treat for pie fans as Peter’s launches two new flavours
Peter’s Pie fans are in for a treat as Wales’s favourite pastry manufacturer has launched two new pie flavours.
Now that Autumn is here, pie fans can expect to see a new 235g Corned Beef Pie added to the Peter’s Premier range on shelf, as well as a new 165g Steak Pie in their heritage range.
As a family favorite, Peter’s believes the new Corned Beef Pie will really capture the hearts of the Welsh nation.
Made with corned beef, sliced onion and potato, the pies will be carefully baked in short crust pastry and topped with the famous Peter’s puff pastry lid.
Peter’s Marketing Director Clare Morgan said: “Corned beef pies have been served at dinner tables across Wales for generations.
“Most of us have grown up eating them with the family, but there aren’t any single corned beef pies on the market.
“Now, pie fans can enjoy this classic all to themselves!”
The Corned Beef Pie will be the fifth addition to the Premier range, after Peter’s launched the Steak, Steak and Kidney, Steak and Ale, and Roast Chicken varieties in January 2012.
With the 165g Steak Pie also hitting stores this week, pie fans have another reason to smile.
Clare Morgan continued: “Our heritage range of pies are well loved for their quality and excellent value.
“For the first time, consumers can purchase a Steak Pie from our heritage range from their local supermarket as well as the chip shop.
“Steak remains the biggest selling flavour in chilled pastries, so we think this new offer will be a popular choice.”
The new pies will be available to buy in major retailers in Wales, including Asda from Monday 22nd September and Tesco in October.
