Sports fans in for a tasty treat as Peter’s fills stadia across the UK

Sports fans up and down the UK are getting a taste of Wales’ favourite pies, as Peter’s continues to grow its sporting links with a whole host of new supply deals.

Following news that Peter’s plan to add extra flavour to match days at the Cardiff City Stadium, as the official sponsor of the Family Stand for the 2012/13 season; Peter’s have also signed a number of exciting deals with other football and rugby stadia, bringing its total sports supply list to 73 venues; from football, rugby league and rugby union, to cricket, golf and racing.

Peter’s has agreed a deal to supply its Premier Pies to Premiership clubs Chelsea FC, Reading FC and Swansea City FC, as well as new 3 year deals to supply both Sheffield United FC and Charlton Athletic FC and a two year deal with Crawley Town.

The likes of The Millennium Stadium, Sheffield United, Reading FC, Birmingham City, London Irish, London Wasps, Crawley Town, Coventry City, Swansea City, Cardiff City, Bristol Rovers and Middlesbrough have all been serviced by Peter’s for a number of years.

The Caerphilly-based baker has also developed exclusive special edition pies for fans at Stamford Bridge, The Liberty Stadium in Swansea and for fans at The Madjeski Stadium in Reading.

Swans and Ospreys fans will soon be tucking in to the new Peter’s Steak and Worthington’s Ale pie at the Liberty Stadium; while Reading and London Irish fans will be trying a unique Peter’s Steak and Hullabaloo pie. Chelsea FC will be able to enjoy their very own Steak and Fullers Ale pie.

Speaking about the new deals, John McAughtrie, Sales Director for Catering and Sport at Peter’s said: “Peter’s has always had powerful sporting links and we are delighted with these new deals to add to our sporting portfolio.

“We’re particularly excited about our exclusive products for the Liberty Stadium, Stamford Bridge and the Madjeski Stadium, we know the fans will love them and already anticipating sales to reach in excess of 100,000 products this season.”
